Rose Walk
Karen Draws Secret Paths | postcard
Rose Walk muted beauty of home and nature postcard
Hear the crow’s clipped-gurgled caw, and watch your attention draw upwards following the spread, black winged bird lofting higher and higher upon a warming corkscrew-breeze.
Crush a bud of lavender. Breath in the spicy fragrance.
A sound, a smell, muted tones of redwood. Dancing silver nails. Serrated rose-colored stucco. Blue copper downspouts. The speed-fluttered winging of a hummingbird darting to the red firecracker bush. To-wit, to-wit! A sound sitting hidden in the ivy bush. And it’s gone.
This is Maybeck Country. Have a sit on the low slung wall that seems to be waiting for circle time to begin. This is Rose Walk.
